Psychotherapy Services in Boulder, Colorado

Individual and couples therapy for life transitions, complexity, and deeper understanding

I offer psychotherapy in Boulder, Colorado for individuals and couples who are navigating life transitions, complex emotional experiences, or patterns that are difficult to make sense of. This work is less focused on quick solutions and more on understanding what is unfolding over time, allowing for meaningful and lasting change.

How we work together in therapy

Therapy is a collaborative process that unfolds over time. Sessions are typically held weekly and provide a consistent space to explore what is emerging, whether that relates to life transitions, relationships, or patterns that feel difficult to understand.

Rather than focusing on quick solutions, the work centers on paying attention to what is already present. Over time, this allows for greater clarity, insight, and change that feels more stable and integrated.

Frequently asked questions

What is the first session like?

The first session is a chance to get a sense of what brings you in and how we might work together. There is no pressure to have everything clearly defined. We begin where you are. People often feel like they are "talking a lot" during the first session, this is perfectly normal as I need to get a feel for you and what you are going through.

How often do sessions take place?

Sessions are typically held once per week. This creates a consistent space for the work to unfold over time.

How long does therapy last?

The length of therapy varies. Some people come for a shorter period around a specific transition, while others choose to work longer term. This work tends to be more depth-oriented rather than brief or solution-focused.

Do you take insurance?

I work with select insurance plans on a case-by-case basis. If you'd like to use insurance, please reach out directly and we can talk through whether your plan may apply. Many clients choose to pay privately to keep their care flexible and straightforward.

How do I know if this is a good fit?

A good fit is something we can get a sense of over an initial conversation. If you’re unsure, you’re welcome to reach out and we can talk through what you’re looking for.
